Eli Avisera is an internationally renowned woodworking artist and a world-class expert in woodturning, carving, wood sculpture, and chair making.  He is also a luthier (violin maker) and has an extensive background in classic carpentry, cabinet and furniture making.

Coffee & snacks will be provided throughout the day, but if you have any dietary restrictions or favourite foods you may wish to bring those for yourself.   A light lunch and water/coffee will also be provided.  


The Craft Centre building at the Rockton Fairgrounds is a long narrow building and we will be sitting on benches (2-3 per bench) in a horseshoe format around our demonstrator.   Attendees are also welcome to bring their own lawn chair and/or a seat cushion to make the day a little more pleasant.   AV equipment includes a 65" TV screen and multiple cameras to enhance your viewing experience.

The event starts promptly at 9:00 so please arrive early to ensure you can grab a coffee and find a good seat.  Check-in starts at 8:15

 

This event is a joint presentation made available by the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild, the Thames Valley Woodturners Guild and the Waterloo-Wellington Woodturners Guild.   We appreciate this partnership and look forward to creating more joint opportunities with these and other guilds in the future.
